Precious Cargo at The london Street Gallery,Derry Londonderry,is  an unprecedented  exhibition featuring some of the hidden treasures and recent acquisitions from the Collection of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.The Exhibition is part of the ongoing Visual arts programme for 2013,this has been made possible by the ongoing partnership working with The arts Council of Northern Ireland and Culture Company 2013.The exhibition  was  launched  by Dr Suzanne Lyle curator for The Arts Council of Northern Ireland Collection  on Monday  Nov 11th.

This is the first time a collection of this scale and diversity has been hosted in this city for ten years.This is a major coup for our Gallery and for Derry londonderry.

Precious Cargo celebrates the the creativity   of 31 artists, including  internationally renowned Tracey Emin ,Bridget Riley,Basil Blackshaw,Graham Gingles,Colin Darke,Felim Egan,Sharon Kelly,Susan Mc Williams,Zoe Murdoch,Barbara Freeman ,Maria Jankowska  and many, many more  emerging artists including well established artists and  recent graduates of Art and Design.An exhibition facilitated by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland in partnership with  Culture Company 2013.  Another exhibition not to be missed at The London Street Gallery, a very special space gifted by Innercity Trust in the heart of the cathedral quarter.
