The London Street Gallery

Off The Cuff

The London Street Gallery is delighted to present as its inaugural show 'Off the Cuff', a reprise of the very successful NWRC show and a collaboration with established artists

We are delighted to be opening our The London St Gallery with Off The Cuff celebrating creative

and diverse interpretations by talented artists, inspired by the rich and heritage of the city’s shirt factory industry.

The exhibition is promoting the talent, creativity and ingenuity of Fashion Design and Media students from NWRC as well as featuring established artists: Tom Agnew, Louise Walsh, Bernie Murphy, Helen Heron , Anne Patterson and Margaret Crabtree. The Artists interpretations are as diverse as the media they use including textiles,Fashion Ceramics ,Drawing and Film as well as variety of mixed media.

All artists have reflected a sensitive, diverse and dynamic response to the shirt factory history. A unique opportunity to see Artists emerging and established sided by side, in what promises to be a vibrant and inclusive Gallery space

We have been delighted by the response to the space and the show .We are excited about building upon existing cultural connections within and beyond the City with an already significant number of opportunities identified to support the synergy and energy already evolving as part of the Cathedral
Quarter. We have a dedicated programme of exhibitions and associated events that promise to inspire and engage

We are indebted to the Inner-city Trust for their ongoing vision and investment in supporting the cultural regeneration of the city and significantly promoting the importance of Arts and Cultural activity across Derry Londonderry The London St Gallery is unique in that we are working closely with a dedicated team of volunteers, committed and competent in, making this Gallery a success.

We are grateful for all the ongoing support and guidance and would like to thank the following for their support CCA, Gordon Gallery, Northwest Volunteer Centre, Creative Village Arts, Legenderry Warehouse, Yellow Moon, Bedlam Mc Garrigle Signs, NU Print .

Sincere thanks to all of the Artists exhibiting with us and a special thanks to staff and students of NWest Regional college. To Maurice Harron our Patron and to our dedicated team at The London St Gallery .We look forward to working with you in supporting a creative and engaging future beyond 2013.
